I couldn't resist seeing this movie after watching Sam Rockwell as a supporting character in Matchstick Men, and I'm delighted to say I was quite pleased. Rockwell plays Chuck Barris, a Hollywood producer and game show host by day but a supposed CIA assassin by night. The film straddles a fine line between comedy and drama - a tone that I've never seen successfully balanced until now. What puts Confessions over the top is Rockwell's dance skills, if you think Madonna and Michael Jackson have talent you haven't seen nothing! I urge you to see Sam's screen test where he dances for 5 straight minutes! It's absolutely hypnotic.
